Terms and Conditions of Sale

1. Definitions

  • TME means The Mrs Edit ABN 68879091301, and references to "we," "us," or "our" have a corresponding meaning.

  • Confirmation Date means 5:00 PM (NSW time) on the day following the date that you place an Order and the date that you provide TME with any requested Measurements, whichever is later.

2. Payment Terms

  • A 50% deposit is required for bridal gowns and accessories. Accepted payment methods include EFTPOS, cash, or direct deposit.

  • Once new gowns or accessories have been ordered, no refunds will be issued, as orders cannot be cancelled.

  • A non-refundable deposit of $500 is required to hold a consignment or sample gown. The remaining balance must be paid in full within 14 days. If full payment is not received, the gown will be made available for sale in-store, and your deposit will be forfeited.

  • Once consignment gowns have been paid for, no refunds will be provided as gown owners will be notified and commissions forwarded to them.

3. New Gown Orders

  • TME cannot guarantee an in-store arrival date for ordered items. You will be contacted when your gown arrives. Additional delivery time may be required during holiday periods (Christmas, Easter, etc.).

  • Orders are placed based on the size and measurements provided by you. It is your responsibility to:

    • Review the final order and measurements to ensure they are correct.

    • Submit any corrections before the Confirmation Date.

    • TME is not liable for errors resulting from incorrect or incomplete measurements or corrections submitted after the Confirmation Date.

  • Gowns are not made to measure. Alterations may be required at an additional cost, and TME is not responsible for any alterations, including those due to weight fluctuation.

  • All purchases remain the property of TME until full payment has been received. You must collect your items within 14 days of being notified. If items are not collected within this timeframe, a storage fee of $50 per week may apply. If the item remains uncollected for 60 days, TME reserves the right to resell the item without refund.

  • TME does not offer refunds for change of mind, cancellation of a wedding, or alterations to an order after the Confirmation Date.

  • Due to the handmade nature of gowns, fabric and color variations may occur, and slight differences from sample gowns or photographs are considered normal.

4. Consignment and Sample Gowns

  • All consignment and sample gowns are sold as-is, including any faults.

  • No refunds will be issued once purchased.

  • You are responsible for inspecting the gown before leaving the premises. Once the gown leaves the store, TME is no longer responsible for any damage or issues.

5. Accessories Refund & Exchange Policy

  • Accessories such as veils, shoes, and jewelry are not eligible for refund or exchange, except in cases where the product is deemed faulty under Australian Consumer Law.

6. Alterations

  • Alterations are not included in the cost of a gown.

  • Alterations are subject to garment structure. While TME will present options, some alterations may not be feasible.

  • Standard turnaround time is 5 to 8 weeks before the event date. Peak season (October to March) may require longer timeframes.

  • A rush service (under 5 weeks) is subject to availability and a $200 rush fee.

  • A cost estimate is provided at the first fitting but is subject to change. Any adjustments to pricing will be communicated.

  • A 50% deposit for alterations is required before work begins. The final balance must be paid before collecting the garment.

  • TME is not liable for any issues arising from alterations performed by third-party tailors.

7. Appointment and Cancellation Policy

  • A booking fee is required for bridal appointments, redeemable on gown purchases made within 7 days.

  • Appointments require 48 hours' notice for cancellation or rescheduling.

  • If you cancel or reschedule within 48 hours, the booking fee is non-refundable and non-transferable.

8. Privacy

  • TME may use your image and name for promotional and social media purposes unless you advise otherwise.

  • Personal information may be shared with related service providers to facilitate transactions and services.

9. Communication

  • You agree to receive notices and relevant information via email.

  • You must update your contact details if they change. TME is not responsible for delivery issues arising from incorrect contact details.

  • TME is not liable for electronic transmission issues, including viruses, malware, or system interference.

10. Warranties and Liability

  • TME is not responsible for the quality of materials supplied by third parties.

  • Once a garment leaves the premises, TME is not responsible for any damage.

  • TME is not liable for delays caused by customers, third parties, or force majeure events (e.g., natural disasters, strikes, government actions).

  • If a designer discontinues a gown or is unable to fulfil an order, TME will offer alternative solutions where possible, but refunds will be at TME’s discretion.

By proceeding with a purchase or service from The Mrs Edit, you acknowledge and agree to these Terms and Conditions.
